Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
A pilgrim’s journey is a place for me to share what God is teaching me through his word as he brings me along this path towards my eternal home.
As a follower of Jesus, I am a pilgrim. A stranger to this world, and a sojourner who has never been to my actual home (heaven). I long for that place of eternal worship at the throne of my glorious God. I anticipate presence with my Savior. But I know that this world, this life, comes with trials, pain, joys, tears, suffering, growing pains, hope-filled dreams, laughter, new beginnings, too many goodbyes, good days, bad days, and most of all, a Person in my life who leads me gently along the path.
Jesus is my gentle shepherd who is good, does good, and who loves his children with a perfect love. The journey, this path, is one of learning and growing; to know his love deeper and to make much of him (and less of me).
[…] Thoughts as I was reading through Mark 4, as these words jumped off the page for me in light of the events that started this blog. […]
